The account tier structure is designed to help us support independent artists and encourage and reward behaviors that improve the marketplace experience for their customers.
Account fees enable us to invest in the service, support, marketing opportunities, and tools we provide to keep the Redbubble marketplace healthy and increase the success of artist shops.
All accounts will be classified as either Redbubble Standard, Redbubble Premium, or Redbubble Pro. The tiers are intended to encourage positive engagement with the marketplace and recognize and reward artists who invest time in creating and promoting their unique products.
| Redbubble Standard | The Standard tier is for new artists that are just starting to create their products while learning how to attract customers, or for artists that are less discerning about product design or consumer appeal. However, the Standard tier is not a required “first step,” and your artist account can be classified as Premium by demonstrating the associated positive behaviors at the start of your journey on Redbubble. |
| Redbubble Premium | Artists can move into the Premium tier by positively interacting with the marketplace. This includes developing a personal brand, regularly uploading unique artwork, generating sales, promoting via social media, and following our policies and guidelines. If you are new to Redbubble, but have an established follower base and personal brand or create artwork that incorporates relevant trends in your own style, you may be eligible for this tier at the start of your journey on Redbubble. |
| Redbubble Pro | The Pro tier is for artists in our top-seller program or Artist Ambassador program. If you have a proven track record of creating unique products that your customers love, you invest time in growing and promoting your Redbubble shop, and you consistently make high sales, you may be invited to join these programs when we review top sellers at the start of each year. |

How are accounts reviewed and classified?
At Sign-Up
Once you sign up and start setting up your artist account, we undertake an initial review to safeguard artists and remove accounts that are in breach of our User Agreement, IP/Publicity Rights Policy or Community and Content Guidelines. Account tier classifications are based on criteria including design quality, artistic skill level, volume of designs, account activity, and consumer appeal.
Post Sign-Up
A holistic view of your account starts to form as you increase your engagement with the marketplace. Account activity like uploading new artwork, adding social links, or reaching a sales threshold can prompt a re-review. Signals generated from your activity are used to periodically evaluate accounts.
Re-reviews may result in three outcomes: Your tier changes, your tier remains the same, or, in rare cases, your account may be suspended due to a breach of our policies or guidelines.
An account may be re-reviewed multiple times per year.
Can I get my account reclassified to a higher tier?
Given the significant number of accounts on the marketplace, we are using a data-driven approach to ensure that each account is properly classified. We are committed to providing a trustworthy process and will continuously work to improve our approach based on feedback from the community, so artists can be assured that their accounts are being classified accurately.
Accounts may advance in tier if they demonstrate high potential based on exceptional design quality, high artistic skill level, consistent uploading activity, and commercial success. An account must show improvement over time before becoming eligible for an upgrade in tier.
To give your account the best chance of moving into the Premium or Pro tier, we recommend:
- Creating based on trends or themes your customers are searching for
- Uploading designs that showcase your unique creative skills and artistic style
- Uploading your best work with close attention to image resolution and product formatting
- Optimizing your shopfront by building out your bio and adding links to your social profiles
- Driving direct, high-quality traffic to your Redbubble store
- Increasing the commercial success of your designs
Our main objective is to support artists to move up through the account tiers.
