To make sure your designs are printing well on products, you’ve got to keep Dimensions and Format in mind.
Color Profiles
The CMYK color profile works best for printed designs, while RGB works best for viewing designs on a monitor.
For the best of both worlds, you should design your work in the CMYK color profile and convert the finished work into the RGB color profile before uploading.

File Type
When uploading your files, only the following file types are accepted: JPEG and PNG.
TIFF and PDF files won't work correctly.
Dimensions
A good rule of thumb is that big, high-resolution files make the best prints. Now, when we say "big," we're referring to resolution, not the file size.
There is a major difference between file size, which is measured in bytes (like megabytes MB), and resolution, which is measured in pixels. When you’re printing work, it’s the pixels that matter.

Product Dimension Requirements
To ensure a good quality print, each product offered on the Redbubble marketplace has pixel dimension requirements. These pixel dimensions represent the minimum width and height an image needs to be to enable certain products. You’ll find the thresholds for all of the products below.
Different products require different aspect ratios (the ratio of width to height), so it's a good idea to create a variation of your work for each of the image orientations:
- Portrait
- Landscape
- Square
We also encourage you to take advantage of our product templates that will help you design for some of the trickier products!
If you decide to use one image file for all products, check the formatting on each product you enable to ensure that your designs are displayed in the best way possible.
Large files
Images above 300MB, or 13500x13500 pixels in size, cannot be accepted on the site due to the heavy load they place on our servers.
Please also note that DPI and PPI don’t affect your final uploaded image.
