Why are the default settings for my product not applied?

In the Uploader, you can set defaults for the blank or garment color, print placement, background color, and product preview for search results and your shop page. Sometimes, those updates can take a while to be applied.

If the defaults are not applied, please follow these easy steps to implement those settings:

1. Wait for it to sync.

Give the system at least 15 minutes to implement all changes to your shop. If they're not implemented, then move on to Step 2. 

2. Edit the affected designs in the Uploader.

Open the designs in the Uploader and navigate to the affected product types.

Now, you have to trigger a re-synchronization of changes. This can be achieved by doing the following:

  • Move the design on the product just a tiny bit.
  • Change the default color/print placement.
  • Disable the product.

Then Apply Changes and Save Work. The system will now re-render the design.

3. Reestablish the original settings. 

Once the work is saved, go back to editing the work, undo your changes from before and save again. Check if this already fixed the issue.

If the above does not help, you can also try to disable the product, save the work and then re-enable the product. This can also be done with the bulk-enabler tool.

Please note that these steps don’t apply to Mugs previews. We are aware of this issue and working on a fix.
