Creating an account and setting up a shop on Redbubble is free. Once your account is classified into a tier, two types of fees may apply to your earnings:
- Platform fee: A percentage of your monthly gross earnings, deducted at the end of each payment period. Applies to Standard and Premium accounts only. (See How does my platform fee get calculated?)
- Excess markup fee: Applies to earnings on products where you set a markup above 20%. Applies to Standard and Premium accounts only. See What is the excess markup fee?)
Pro accounts are exempt from both fees.
Neither fee is ever charged out of pocket. They only apply when you make a sale, and your total account fees will never exceed $150/150€/£150 in any payment period.
You can find a record of your fees in two places: your Account Tiers and Fees page shows fees from previous pay periods, and your Payment History page shows fees applied to each payment. Click "View Details" next to any payment on your Payment History page or check your Earnings Details page for a full breakdown of platform fees, excess markup fees, and any credits issued for fees that exceeded the cap.
