Dos
- Do create original, fun, and creative works directly related to the STAR TREK series and movies.
- Do create original drawings of the characters in the STAR TREK franchise.
- Include the official logos in your artwork if you'd like, but do not stretch or modify the logos. You can download the logos here.
- Do add a ™ after the series name if it is incorporated into your artwork.
- Do include the following legal line on your artwork: © 20XX CBS. ARR.
- Replace XX with the corresponding year.
- Designs without the legal line may be rejected from the program.
- Do feel free to reference and be inspired by elements of the STAR TREK series or movies such as:
- Ships such as U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031, U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656
- Organizations such as Starfleet, Starfleet Academy and United Federation of Planets
- Places such as Vulcan, Risa, Qo'noS and Andoria
- Do use favorite quotes from the STAR TREK series or movies such as:

Don'ts
- Don’t recreate existing STAR TREK merchandise or use elements created by other artists.
- Don’t incorporate any third party content into your artwork, and don’t include mash-ups of STAR TREK with other content owners’ properties or brands.
- Don’t use the actors’ real first and last names or their real-life photos.
- Don’t use STAR TREK publicity photos or screen grabs of the characters.
- Don’t use photos of any real person (historical or present day).
- Don’t use the official STAR TREK logo fonts for non-logo elements in your designs.
- Don’t use STAR TREK screenshots or key art in your artwork.
- Don't use STAR TREK images pulled from the internet in your designs.
- Don’t change the legally protected quotes from the STAR TREK series:
- “Beam me up, Scotty”
- “Live Long And Prosper”
- “Resistance Is Futile”
- “Space, the Final Frontier”
- “To boldly go where no one has gone before”
- Don’t use STAR TREK to advertise any businesses, products, events or services of any party.
- Don’t submit offensive designs - avoid hateful, divisive, and adult content in your artwork. See below for a non-exclusive list of things to avoid:
- Profanity (whether it's censored or not)
- Violence or self-mutilation
- Drugs and alcohol except for STAR TREK alcohols names such as Romulan Ale or Klingon Blood Wine
- Guns of any kind except for STAR TREK weapons such as Phasers, Disruptors, Bat’leth, and Mek’leth
- Vulgarity and anything sexually explicit
- Hate language or derogatory references to race, gender, religion, intellectual disability, size, or physical impairment
- Endorsing or opposing any political party, association or any side of any issue.
