Ready to start selling your amazing artwork on the Redbubble marketplace? All you need to do is complete the steps on your Artist Dashboard:
Heads up, it may take up to 5 business days for your shop to be visible to the public once your account is set up. But, not to worry, you can use that time to add more designs to your shop or perfect your profile!
If you're over 18 and want to share your art with your customers worldwide (and have responsibly combed over our User Agreement), you can get started by picking a username and signing up for free.
Already have a Shopper Account?
You can use the same account you shop with for your Artist Account! Some of these steps may already be completed, but it's always a good idea to check that your info is still correct.
Get paid
To get started, let's add your name.
- Go to your "ACCOUNT SETTINGS"
- Under "Edit Profile," scroll to the "Profile" section
- Enter your first and last name
- Click Submit Changes at the bottom of the page
Here you can choose to show your user name or your real name. This can be changed at any time.
Before making your artwork available for sale, you'll need to verify your email address. You should have an email with a link to verify your address in your email inbox.
Don't see it? Head over to your Edit Payment Details page. Double-check that the email address is correct, then click Resend confirmation.
You should receive a confirmation email shortly.
If you don’t see the email within 1-2 minutes, look at your Junk or Spam folders.
Please note:
If you enter your email incorrectly or can't receive the confirmation email, you'll need to create a new account with the correct or new email address. Since only one account can be connected to an email address, you must choose a new user name.
If you want to open multiple accounts, each must be created with a different email and username.
Please read about our Upload Limits if you are operating multiple accounts.
If you're still having trouble, head to our Artist Request form with your Redbubble username and the email address you are trying to confirm. Our Artist Experience team is always happy to help you out.
You can confirm your mobile phone number by going to the “Edit Payment Details” page under your “Account Settings.”
- Select your country
- Enter your phone number
- Click Send code
You should receive a text to the number you input within 60 seconds.
Don’t see the text?
- Double check you input the correct mobile number
- Click Send code again

Reusing payment details
Keep in mind, the number of times you can use the same payment details is limited to ensure multiple accounts are not used in a way that interferes with the functionality or integrity of the marketplace.
Create products
Now that you've input your payment details, it’s time to upload your designs!
For your Shop to be visible to the public, you must upload at least 5 pieces of public artwork and enable at least 1 product for each design. After uploading your first 5 designs, it can take up to 5 business days for your shop to be visible to the public in Redbubble searches and with direct links.
If you still need to upload 5 designs to your Redbubble Shop, your Shop will be private to you, and your customers won't be able to see your artwork.
During this time, you may see a temporary banner when viewing your artwork that says:
This work is not publicly visible as this account is currently RestrictedFret not! You'll no longer see the banner when your account is visible to the public.
Why not add more designs and some personality to your profile while you wait?
Set up shop
We suggest using an image, photo, or graphic icon for your avatar to help people recognize you across Redbubble.
For best results, try using an image that's 100x100 pixels. No worries if you can't get it 100x100, our bots will do the resizing and cropping for you.
Please note:
Your avatar can't be removed. However, you can update it anytime to a different image or even a solid color.
Cover photos are an excellent opportunity to make a lasting first impression and tell a story that reflects your style. Your cover image could feature an individual artwork, a collage of works, or even a dazzling shot of your studio.
You can add a cover on the Edit Profile page from your browser. Cover photos must be 2400 px wide by 600 px high and in JPEG or PNG format. To remove it, click Remove Cover.
Be sure to check out your profile on mobile to see how it looks to fans viewing on their cell phones.
Here is an example of a cover photo in action from Featured Artist Maike Vierkant.
Check out Designing Eye Catching Cover Photos on the Redbubble Blog for more information on spicing up your cover photo.
You can connect your social media accounts to your Redbubble profile. This will allow your customers to follow you so you can better engage with them and market yourself on social media.
To do this, head over to the Link to Other Sites page under the Artist Tools.
Your artist bio is a great way to share a little about yourself and your art. In 500 characters or less, you should try to include:
- Your location
- Your cultural identity or influences
- The type of art you create
- Your style of art
- Themes or topics related to your art
- Subjects or causes that inspire your art
- Big-name clients you've created work for
You can create or edit your bio in your Account Settings.
